Market Linen Rolls
From Chickpet stalls to the metre you order
Rolls of linen and cotton stacked at market stalls—where we first learned to read cloth by hand, not label.
Bangalore’s fabric lanes are loud, generous, and wonderfully overwhelming. In Chickpet and around the old city, bolts lean against each other—linen, cotton, block print, plain weave—each roll holding a different promise for curtains, bedding, or a table you have not set yet.
Prakruti began in our Bangalore studio with swatches from these markets: which neutral reads warm under Indian light? Which print feels contemporary without losing its hand? We still source and sample the way we did on day one—touch first, photograph second.
Our market linen collection is named honestly. These are cloths that belong in sunlit rooms, guest bedrooms, and window seats where you want texture without noise.
